Today is a new day and I refuse to quit, i refuse to sit idle, I refuse to allow the enemy to make me believe that I am a failure. It is okay to be afraid, but because I walk in faith, if I have nothing else…I have peace.
In the night when I long to just feel the warmth of your body and the room all around me is cold, I look over at your photo and smile. I close my eyes and rest in God’s everlasting peace, I’m 0kay, I am not afraid.
When I awake to the sun shining on my face then I can say today is a new day and I’m not afraid to face it. I put one foot in front of the other and that is progress! Today IS a new day.
